Spring in Our Hearts – A Season Within
Just like nature moves through the seasons, our lives experience cycles too—moments of winter, sadness, or despair, and moments of spring, hope, and renewal. Being aware of these seasons within us helps us find balance. Sometimes we need to look around at the world; other times, we need to look inside ourselves. This poem, part of our Seasons Within collection, reminds us that hope can bloom anytime, even after the coldest winter. Full Poem – Spring in Our Hearts After a dark and cold winter, when our hearts ache and we seek refuge in the quiet corner of a cozy room, with the fire warm beside us, hope begins to stir. At first, it is tiny, a little button of light-- small, almost imperceptible. But with patience, it grows stronger, warming our gaze toward the outside world. The birds sing. Dormant creatures awaken, searching for food, and life returns to every corner. New growth, new hope, all around us, all within us. Sometimes, that spark of hope is found by looking around-- in nature, in others, in the world. Other times, it is already within, waiting quietly to be noticed, to bloom. That is the spring in our hearts, the renewal of life and light. Walk within yourself, or wander through the world-- wherever you go, find your spring.
