Kids in books are awesome! They can teach c and make feel good about ourselves, especially if we see kids who look like us or have similar experiences. But not all books are nice to kids. Some books show kids in a bad way like they are mean or different just because of how they look or where they come from. That can hurt the kids who read those books or the kids who are in those books. So, when we write or pick books for kids, we must be smart and careful. We need to make sure the books are about the story and the actions, not the looks of the kids unless they show all kinds of kids in a good way.
We can help kids be happy and strong, but we can also mess them up if we're not careful. #childrensliterature #childrensbookillustration #booksforchildren #kidsbooks #childrensbooks #booksforkids #reading #book #kids #education
