"Today, I like life much less, but I always like to live." This phrase by Cesar Vallejo is powerful and relevant. The statement expresses emotional complexity, acknowledging that life can become tough and less pleasant due to challenges, setbacks, disappointments, and losses that we face throughout it. However, despite this decrease in the appreciation of life, the will to keep on living persists. Life is not easy, especially in modern times, where societies prioritize individualism, egocentrism, and the unrestrained pursuit of money and prestige, regardless of how it is achieved and at the expense of the collective well-being. The lack of empathy, solidarity, and great disinterest in the problems of others make it very difficult to think of today's society as a whole where everyone is valued and respected. But it is possible to consider the contribution that an individual who values life makes to restore social values in the current society.
